ArbFest2026

The Centre is currently organising the next Edinburgh International Arbitration Festival (ArbFest2026) to be held on on the 3 and 4 September. ArbFest2026 will be held at the National Galleries of Scotland and the CMS offices (Main Festival).  It will again be supported by ICCA, and hosted by Brandon Malone and Lise Bosman.

Topics this year will include: arbitration in the era of energy transition and choosing the right path to resolve disputes, as mediation becomes more international.

We have three Headliners for ArbFest2026.

As part of our Book Festival on Thursday 3 September, Nicola Sturgeon, lawyer and former First Minister of Scotland, will be the Headliner, where she will discuss her autobiography, Frankly. The Book Festival will take place at the National Galleries of Scotland.

Our Main Festival will take place on Friday 4 September at the CMS offices in Edinburgh. The Headliners will be Frauke Nitschke, Chief Counsel at the ICSID, and Prof Peter Cameron, Centre Ambassador and Professor at Queen Mary University.

We hope that you will be able to attend this great event. Arbfest2025 was a great success, and we look forward to building upon last year’s success.
