On 13 and 14 February, Brandon Malone and Andrew Mackenzie represented the Centre at the 17th IBA International Arbitration Day conference in Paris.
At the opening reception they met various names from the international arbitration scene, including a number who were particularly interested in the Centre’s international energy arbitration project.
The International Bar Association (IBA) is an international association of lawyers and lawyers’ associations which promotes an exchange of information between legal associations worldwide. The IBA’s Arbitration Days are among the world’s most important and best-attended arbitration conferences. They have taken place in established venues such as London and Stockholm, but also in developing and fast-growing arbitration jurisdictions such as South Korea and Colombia. This year’s conference paid tribute to the great contribution of French law and the French arbitral community to the history of arbitration.
